Sales Statistics
I have been making plush toys for over a decade - starting as a hobby in highschool. My interest started with coveting plushies from my favorite comics and TV shows, and I realized I could take matters into my own hands.
I opened my first online store in 2016, but my sales began to pick up in early 2020. From that point on, making plush toys has been my full-time job.
Since 2020, I have made nearly two thousand plushies for my Etsy storefront - generating 65k in revenue. My listings have gotten over 140k views in total. During 2022, I had over 1,000 orders from my Etsy store alone. Below is a graph of my Etsy store's statistics since creation in 2016, followed by a second image for the stats of 2022 to 2023.
My most popular plushies have been designs inspired by existing media. I have a knack for spotting up-and-coming trends, and would love to focus my energy on adapting characters and items into marketable soft toys.
During my store’s most active period, I was able to keep up with over 80 orders in a single month. Given that one order often contained more than one plush toy, my rate of production is often higher than that figure - though the complexity of the design can cause that to vary.
With simpler designs - such as the Yippie creature - I have been able to create around 90 plushies in a month. More comfortably, I can manage around 60 plushies per month. Below are the statistics for that design.
Even with a more complicated design - such as the Puppet Toy design - I kept pace with over 70 orders in a single month, though I was more comfortably able to manage around 50 orders.
